I purposely waited until this day to write this review for one simple reason, what better of a night to write a review for a person who literally helped you change your life. When I met Avis over a year ago I was broken soul when it came to the process of Character and Fitness. Having gone to both the district committee and the standing committee with another attorney and not having been approved I thought about giving up. Then one of my most dearest of friends told me to talk to Avis. Funny she had told me to talk to him 2 years earlier, I wish I had listened. Avis sat me down, didn’t sugar coat a thing and told me that what I had done prior to him was not enough to get me through this process. He took me under his wing and in the year we waited for the BLE, worked with me to get things properly in order for me to even have a shot at getting licensed. Between texts, emails and phone calls I must have annoyed this man more then any other human, but he never turned me away or made me feel like I was. The day of my BLE hearing I asked him what my chances were, his response “had you come to me first I would be more confident but I promise you, you are as prepared as anyone can be now” I had my hearing and when it was all over we were told we had to wait for a response. As I was walking out of his office he gave me a hug told me I did great and we parted ways. The next time I heard from him was when he told me I was approved for my license. This man is literally a god send, I would recommend him to anyone who is going to have to go through the character and fitness process. No matter how small or how big make Avis your first call, I promise you he will prepare you and work tirelessly to make sure you have a the tools to get through this process.
