Eric L. Thompson Mr. Benavides was my court appointed attorney for a “violent domestic assault" case that was self-defense on my part and occured the morning of my father’s funeral. There was arguing and name calling and I was charged at and I kept myself from being hurt. I am a US Army veteran. I was arrested, processed into the jail and had to get a court appointed attorney. I was released, no prior arrests, at all whatsoever, and I had to go to court several times. Mr. Benavides was there every time.
