David and his staff are great people very down to earth and a joy to be around.
This attorney is despicable, he tried to circumvent an irrevocable trust with another trust, and after years in court and hundreds of thousands in fees it was overturned. His actions were even questioned by the judge. He took the money and did what he knew was wrong. Run from this Attorney.

Many years after creating my initial trust documents with David Carrier, I attended recent workshops which were very informative about new laws and scenarios that would be very important concerning the updating of my life plans. I decided to make an appointment and had the pleasure of meeting and working with Bryan Narlock, Attorney. I was very pleased with his manner, professionalism and knowledge concerning my situations and would not hesitate to recommend him for any estate planning needed. He explained everything with much patience and detail, answering all of the questions that I was previously unsure of and it leaves me with a sense of confidence. I chose to do a complete restatement of my life plan to ensure that nothing is missed. Although it is expensive, it is important to me and worth every penny to know that I have proper documents in place for my family so that they will be able to easily proceed when the time comes. For any situations that may come up in the years to follow, I will certainly contact Bryan again. I would like to add that the office personnel at the GR location are very professional and friendly and overall I am very happy to have contacted The Law Offices of David Carrier many years ago for my original estate planning as well as recent updating. I would like to add my personal thanks to Bryan Narlock for his expertise. What to me seemed a very stressful task quickly became the complete opposite. It is very much appreciated. L Shafer

If you are looking looking for comprehensive elder care in the form of a will or trusts to protect your assets, no matter how many or how complicated those assets are, this is the business you are looking for. Both knowledgeable and caring, we have had the pleasure of working with Chris and David. They have many classes available to the public, at no charge, to make sure you go into these decisions with the knowledge to make the best choices for yourself and your estate. Then, they will answer all the questions you have while you draft documents. I highly recommend this business and staff!

Our attorney Bryan Narlock has been a great help to our family. He has explained to us what we have in this trust. It is a very valuable item that we purchased through Carrier Law. Bryan Narlock is very knowledgeable and personable and gave us great confidence in protecting our assets from excessive taxes. Thank you Bryan.

DO NOT USE THEM FOR MEDICAID APPLICATIONS Very poor experience, no follow through and insanely overpriced! Be aware your initial meeting is not with the attorney that will be assigned to you, it is designed to sell you on the fees that appear to be based on the up front financial information you provided them. The initial meeting has a timeshare pitch feel to it, "you can't afford not to hire us" tone. Carrier Law promised my father he would get more than the $31,000 they were charging. THIRTY ONE THOUSAND to review a trust, wills, do two property transfers and apply for Medicaid!!! I suspect the fees are based on how much they think you can afford to pay. From the time they took the $31,000 it took 7 months to apply for Medicaid due to their own incompetence: 1. They never started on the project for over 6 weeks after they were hired. Medicaid applications have an urgency, clearly Carrier Law isn't equipped for urgent Medicaid applications. 2. They struggled for 5 months to do a simple instate property transfer. 3. They could not find a Florida attorney to work with them on a property transfer which I find odd since many Michigan residents have property in Florida. My corporate law firm has never had a problem finding out of state attorney's to work with. I'm sure there is something they weren't being honest about. 4. There was a name issue with the property deed and the name of the trust. My 86 year old father came up with a solution and hired another attorney to fix that since Carrier law couldn't figure out how to remedy the problem. 5. I highly doubt they would have been able to complete this in 7 months if we wouldn't have nagged them (lots of unreturned phone calls), demanded in person meetings to report on their progress and got belligerent (demanded we talk directly with David Carrier). 7 months into the whole mess they finally applied for Medicaid but my mother had passed by that time so it was a total waste of time. Carrier Law lead my father to believe that there was no urgency to the Medicaid application and told him to reduce the amount paid to the nursing home as if he was going to receive full benefits. He did this for the 7 months Carrier Law dinked around with his case. 7 months equaled a $60,000 past due invoice from the nursing home. In the end they claimed that they never told us Medicaid benefits were retroactive and there is only a small window for retroactive benefits. Well if that was the case I reiterate the need for them to act urgently. In other words, they knew if they would have started on the project in a timely manner they may have been able to deliver on their promises. If they would have done the work they were hired to do my mother would have received $60,000 in Medicaid benefits for the time she was in the nursing home, she received ZERO. NINETY ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR MISTAKE. Obviously Medicaid applications and property transfers aren't their area of expertise.
