Hoyt and Bryan have taken care of our estate and other planning needs for years. They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have recommended them to family and friends because I completely trust their guidance and services.
Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful experience.”
My interaction with Hoyt & Bryan Law Firm was unbelievably disappointing. Instead of providing support, I was met with hostility and condescension. They showed no interest in treating me with respect or offering real guidance, and their demeanor was consistently rude. I walked away feeling more stressed than when I came in. If you’re looking for a law firm that values clients, look elsewhere—this is not the place.
Owner response
Mr. Greyson, we are very sorry to hear that this was your experience. We don't have any record of you having an appointment with one of our attorneys. I would be happy to discuss this further if you would be so kind as to call my office. Peggy Hoyt
We are so grateful to the law offices of Hoyt and Bryan for their help with our Will and family trust. They made a potentially overwhelming process feel straightforward and gave us peace of mind knowing our family's future is secure. Their expertise and care are truly commendable.
Sophia made an appointment for me to go into the office and called me the morning of the appointment and canceled. She tried to tell me the appointment was for the following month (then why did she call me)? She eventually admitted she had made an error. As it was, I had been trying to get a question answered for 6 weeks and another month was just too long to wait. I ended up going somewhere else and got the answers to my questions almost immediately. H & B has taken on more work than they can handle and I felt like I was strung along for way too long of a wait.
Never return calls. Should communicate that they are not interested in taking my case instead of telling me that they will get back to me. Very disappointed.
Owner response
Carolina, I'm sorry your call was not returned. We never want to disappoint a client. Please accept our apology.
My neighbor highly recommended the firm, but the firm has no time for new clients. I need immediate assistance and contacted on January 13 and was told it would be middle of February before I could talk to someone. All of the references to prompt services, etc, on web are incorrect. Would not contact if you need immediate probate advice, etc.
As has always been the case, Randy Bryan handled our estate needs professionally and to the highest standards. He makes the legal jargon clear and easy to understand and does this with kindness and empathy. This is our second visit to this office and we will always count on them to handle any needs we have in the future. Thank you, Randy.
Last year my neighbor and friend, recently deceased, based upon my recommendation hired Peggy Hoyt to create a Pet Trust to provide her 24+- horse located in Wisconsin, dog and 4 cats (located in Florida) care after she died, as part of her will. I was thrilled that my neighbor took my advice and hired Peggy Hoyt. This pet trust assures that funds from her estate have been set aside to provide feed and other needs for her animals. Additionally, my neighbor and friend, as part of a life estate agreement was verbally guaranteed her horses could remain on the property until they died. At this time, all horses have care and are fat and happy grazing every day, on the land they were promised for life. I am confident, my friend and neighbor made the right decision when she hired Peggy and now that the Probate for her estate has been approved and after legal issues soon to be resolved, plans for the lifetime care of the horses will be finalized.
A neighbor of mine hired Peggy Hoyt in Florida, to write a pet will for her old horses that were kept on a farm in WI, in which the neighbor had a life estate but I owned.
I was never contacted by these lawyers after their client died, to discuss what was to be done with the horses.
We finally had to call them and email them repeatedly to ask their plans and intentions now that these lawyers have control of the Florida assets.
Their response was lack luster.
This law office doesn’t seem to care a bit about the animals, but perhaps have lots of interest in billing once they have control of the assets, as the 20 page “inexpensive will” written for my neighbor specified lots of ways the legal staff and administrator could get paid.
We worked with Peggy (and her puppies) to establish a semi complicated set of documents for both of us to cover all contingencies. She really makes the process so easy! We walked in feeling like we didn't even know what we didn't know. We walked out feeling so relieved! She's the person other elder law professionals consult. I can't recommend her highly enough!
