Long story short Jay has represented me twice. Each time was against false allegations and each time the charges were dropped. I was able to contact Jay by phone or text day or night weekday or weekend and he never left me hanging and he always replied promptly. I was pulled over for suspected DUI after a night out in Birmingham. Even though I hadn’t had much to drink, the officer claimed I failed the field sobriety test and arrested me. The absolute worst lawyer. Please save your money and yourself/ freedom by choosing another lawyer. Jay Tidwell did not answer our calls or text. Jay Tidwell did not fight for my husband or I. On top of all this he showed up to court late several times. Then had the nerve to ask us for another $10k after we had already came to and agreement on services. Jay Tidwell did not even try to represent us in our case nor did he communicate his plan or lack thereof.

Terrible lawyer, overpriced,short tempered and could not get in contact with him for months after receiving my payment. Kinda felt like he was against me not for me. Definitely does the bare minimum for his clients.

Jay helped me through a long federal case that lasted 3 years . Always answered any questions I had and just a very honest good guy. You can tell he truly cares about you and not money. If it wasn’t for Jay I wouldn’t be with my family right now . Highly recommended!!
