My wife and I began the process of a residency application for my mother and father in-laws back in 2014. After our attorney unexpectedly retired, we were left without any outcome at all. So, we hired a second law firm to complete the application process for my mother and father in-law. This turned out to be a very frustrating process. Though the application for my mother in-law was successful, the application for my father in-law was denied, his case being much more complicated. We were unable to establish any communication with this law firm, and it became apparent they were not competent to take my father in-laws case to the next level. We almost accepted that we would never be able to get a residency card for my father-in-law.
