Dear David: When we met so you could receive your settlement check, there was no mention of any issues. Because the case had such a good financial result for you, I thought you were pleased. In fact, I remember you smiling during our meeting. <br><br>The circumstances of your case, which went to litigation and approached a trial setting, were not simple in light of your disappearance for many, many months and not engaging in the case during that time. You may recall we had to reach out to your family in the hopes of finding you. Your reasons for disengaging, I recall, had nothing to do with our firm and the details will remain confidential. <br><br>I later saw this review. I must note that your review coincided with my telling you to stop harassing the staff on the telephone by calling repeatedly one day demanding payment before the funds were available for disbursement. Because the ladies working here were upset by your words and demeanor, I sternly spoke to you. In retrospect, I could have treated you with a softer touch in light of your condition. I truly thought we had gotten past that episode especially in light of our subsequent communication and the significant check you received. In the future, I hope your life settles down and you find happiness.

Dear Ms. Medina: I have attached an edited portions of our communications with you which explains our efforts on your behalf:<br><br>Thank you for taking the time to speak with me. As you know, this has been a difficult case for several reasons. First, of course, is the damage to your car and your health due to the accident. Those problems were compounded when the insurance companies denied responsibility and/or coverage. For example, your own policy did not have any PIP or property damage coverage to cover any of your losses. In addition, the insurance company of the car behind you denied responsibility and later denied coverage. You will recall that you and your first law firm (not us) asked our firm to seek a resolution through the court system with your permission. We filed suit.<br><br>During this time, we had to go to Court just to get service on the other driver with the lawsuit. The Defendant cursed and threatened to harm our process server if the process server attempted to serve him. We asked the Court to allow our process server to post the lawsuit on his door instead of personal service. The Court agreed and granted an Order allowing us to do so. In turn, we served the Defendant by posting the lawsuit on his door by Court Order.<br><br>We later received a notice that the other driver's insurance company denied having coverage for him at the time of the wreck. Since you didn’t have Uninsured Motorist Coverage, we could not obtain funds from your insurance company.<br><br>Ultimately, we filed a Motion for Default Judgment. Attached to this email is a Judgement signed by the Court which concludes that the driver who caused your injuries is responsible. The Judge also ordered that you should recover $17,530.00 from him. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, the driver’s insurance company has claimed it did not have an active policy of insurance for him during the time of the wreck. As a result, we have not collected any funds as a result of this judgment.<br><br>Hopefully you will see, after reviewing this Judgment in your favor, that our firm continued to work on your behalf and made big strides to try and get you relief. We did not give up when the other parties refused to respond. We continued to seek relief all the way up to a judgment - and it cost us a good deal of money to do so. We are sorry that there is not<br>insurance money to cover this Judgment, however.
