I have known Jason for many years and have had the opportunity to watch his professional growth firsthand — first as a police officer and coworker, then as an investigator with the District Attorney’s Office while attending law school, and ultimately into his role as a practicing attorney. Because of that background, I already had a great deal of trust in him when we first needed legal help.
During the pandemic, Jason assisted us with a very complicated and high-level estate matter involving five parcels of land and the reopening of several estates to correct deed issues in DeKalb County. Jason and his legal assistant, Alicia, were nothing short of amazing. While the process took time due to the pandemic and delays within DeKalb County, they handled everything professionally and thoroughly, and the end result was very positive.
More recently, my wife was involved in a horrific car accident that turned our lives upside down. What followed was not just a legal battle, but a long, exhausting, and emotional journey filled with uncertainty, stress, and concern for her health and future. From day one, Jason and Alicia treated our situation with genuine compassion and care. They were consistently responsive, patient, and reassuring during a time when we truly needed it most.
Every time I called their office, Alicia took my call — even when I just needed to vent or talk through concerns. Jason never made us feel like just another case; he made us feel like our family truly mattered. The outcome of my wife’s case exceeded our expectations, but more importantly, they helped carry us through one of the most difficult periods of our lives.
While Jason and Alicia were compensated for their work, I honestly don’t know how we could ever repay them for the dedication, empathy, and personal attention they showed our family. We are deeply grateful for everything they did, and I would recommend Jason and his team without hesitation to anyone in need of legal representation.
He insured me my charges for email harassment would be dropped and he refused to fight for me. The email was one email begging my husband to give our marriage a chance. I had a no contact bond and I never responded to my ex husband even when he has tried to contact me while I had a no contact bond. During the time I was waiting to go to court my now ex husband tried contacting me over 30 times directly or through MY children and my parents, I wasn't allowed to go see my grandchildren play sports but yrt he was allowed to come to the hospital while MY daughter was giving birth and asked to leave by 3 different people to leave and even told by daughter before hand not to come and I was told he could harrass me all he wanted because I was the one in trouble for sending one email that was not threatening in any kind of way. I paid Jason $2500, I've never been in trouble with the law only a minor speeding ticket. He refused to show the harassment i have been having to deal with or the physical abuse I put up with for 16 years to Solicitor Gabe Bradford and was told Gabe didn't give a damn about what i was being put through i shouldnt have sent my husband an email begging for his love. Do not waste your money get a public defender Solictor Gabe Bradford nor Jason care about the real victims even when you hand them black and white proof. I am now on 6 months probation with thousands in fines while my ex husband can continue to harass me and my family and every law enforcement officer and judicial person tells me they will not do anything to help me. Let's not mention I'm disabled with Multiple Sclerosis so I gave Jason my last money to live off of. Go elsewhere for representation don't waste your money. And no after I was arrested for "harassment" I never once responded to my ex husband and sent it straight to my Attorney Jason Black so no I never broke my bond conditions. Gabe wrote an offer on paper and Jason told me to sign it because he basically didn't want to deal with my dumbass case even though he agreed id get my attorneys fees back and the case would be dropped because my ex non stopped harassed me over 30 times since September. It's sad that the judicial system cares more about the perpetrators than the victims. This is why us abused don't report it because it's more trouble for the true victims while the abusers walk away free.
Was treated very unprofessionally by the associate Drake at this firm. Did not respond to my emails after initially offering to represent me for $600. Followed up with him a week later after not receiving reply emails and he was short, said it was 10:00 a.m. on a Monday and acted as if I was bothering him (this was a week after he told me he would look at my email and follow up). I then called the firm to leave a voicemail for Mike Weinstein, whom has actually represented me in the past, to leave a voicemail to find out if I could be represented or not. Drake call me back immediately and said that the receptionist claimed I called with "an attitude" asking for Mike. Very bizarre interactions and poor treatment from this firm
Beth Johnston was the advocate I needed while facing a contentious divorce. Beth’s advice and counsel was everything I needed to battle a local bully attorney. I wasn’t the easiest client but seeing her navigate this process was a work of art. The bully got bullied in the end and Beth gave me back the life I was hoping for post divorce. If you are in need of an attorney but more importantly a trusted partner that will tirelessly fight for you and your children call Beth immediately! She’s one of the good ones!
Jason Black and Dave Mcdonald handled my case in a very professional manner and got a settlement for more than I was asking or expecting. Very good job.
They get a one because I could go no lower. Beth Johnston, who works at Weinstein and Black in Jefferson GA, took everything we had while promising to take our case to trial. The first time she wanted to settle. We told her no, but she pushed it through anyway. Following that, when court was scheduled once again, she insisted on mediation. She had demanded another several thousand dollars in advance above our initial bill which was already several thousand paid in advance. Once it was paid in full, she went to mediation and informed us that we needed to take the agreement or give her $10,000 more in order to take it to trial. So here we are, worse off than we were more than a year ago, out over $10,000, and we got nothing we asked for while he got everything. AND our entire retirement savings is gone. (I’m 67). She wouldn’t respond to either calls or texts, and was constantly talking about needing us to give her more money. Is this who you want to represent you? Filing with the Ga Bar Association.
Rude arrogant man didn’t think k had a case, took it to a different attorney won without even having to go to court… if I could leave zero stars I would
Drake Corbin is easy to work with, efficient and is quick to get back. He has so much knowledge with preparing and helping with Wills and estates. If are looking for someone to help you with setting an estate or a will, he is your man!
Drake Corbin was Excellent to work with in closing my Mother’s home sale held in her Revocable Trust after she passed. He has extensive knowledge in Estate planning & Estate settlement! He was excellent in communicating with us!
He handled this transaction from start to finish like a true professional.
I highly recommend Mr. Drake Corbin! 5+ ⭐️
