It’s unacceptable for an attorney to arrive late on the very first day of court without any communication—especially in a sensitive case involving domestic violence. Instead of being met with professionalism and support, I was met with a nonchalant attitude, as if this was normal.
There were clear mistakes and missed opportunities throughout the case—errors I likely ended up paying for. While this law firm may have strengths in certain areas, I would not recommend them for cases involving domestic violence, restraining orders, or family matters.
As a domestic violence survivor, navigating the legal system is already emotionally exhausting. Hiring an attorney should provide relief, not add to the burden. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. After deciding to reserve the remainder of my trust for my final hearing, I had to substitute out my attorney. Even then, the main attorney never followed up with me or offered any support, which was disheartening and unprofessional.
To date, I’ve spent $7,500. $2,500 of which I paid under the impression that my attorney was prepared for trial. She was not. Had I been properly informed, I might have saved that money for someone actually capable of representing me at my upcoming hearing.
Now, I am without representation, struggling to find a new attorney as my trial approaches, with limited resources left to start over.
This experience has been both financially and emotionally damaging. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would.
My ex-wife is an attorney and threatened to leave me homeless and penniless in our divorce. Andrew helped me keep my house, my son, and helped with a restraining order against my ex-wife. Highest recommendation!
I found Westover Law Group because I was looking for an attorney to appeal a stipulation I was pressured in to signing in 2020.
My case was so simple and yet my previous attorney could not seem to litigate a stipulation that he wrote. My ex once again changed jobs and quit paying court ordered support. My then attorney was negotiating again with opposing counsel. I was so unhappy and really could not believe what was happening but no other attorney would take the case. I decided I wanted to appeal the entire case and Westover Law was one of two firms that advertised this specialty.
It was going on two more years when Mr. Westover took over my case without thinking twice. He did not seem intimidated as other lawyers were. Within 60 days of hiring Mr. Westover, opposing counsel sent unpaid arrears before we ever went to court. When we did go to court the opposing party's case was dismissed and the judgement upheld. Just like that. I know I should be happy but I am having tremendous sadness about how many years of depression and stress I went through before Mr. Westover took over my case. My case did not seem complicated and yet I paid 10k and owe 20k to my prior counsel with no results. I believe Mr. Westover to be very honest and unafraid of a challenge. I only regret not finding Westover Law Group years sooner. I am grateful that he took over my case when no one else would.
Best Family Law Attorney in the area.
Mr Westover is truly a life saver who knows the family law. The cost was reasonable and he delivered everything that I wanted in my divorce case. He was unbelievable and know his way around the courtroom which is very reassuring. Highly recommend Mr. Westover.
Avoid at all cost unless you want to waste your money. I retained Taryn to help in the custody battle that I’m been going through with my ex husband. The court date finally came and I never seen the judge. We sat in a room outside of court where she proceeded to hand write what my ex should pay in child support and health insurance. She came late, spent 45 minutes with me (talking about her kids) explained nothing, the billed me for over 2 hours of time that she was not there for. She didn’t address the back child support, the attorneys fees, or the scheduling adjustment that I was wanting. She had me show up in court to complete something that could have been done in her office months earlier. I had to call her pissed off for her to explain why nothing got addressed that day, just for her to bill be for the conversation that should have happened when we were in court
Andrew is sharp as a tac and helped my family and I save thousands of dollars and come to a decision and solve a challenging situation. Hes as sharp and good as they get for lawyers, and is honest. We are happy to have gone to Andrew and his wife and their law group.
He is an amazing person. He spend over one hr with me guiding me and telling me how to not do certain things to waste my money. I have no idea how can someone write a bad review. In fact, he gave free advice which he doesn't have too. He listened and with genuine attention. 🤩🥰
By far probably one of the worse family law attorney offices out there. All they care about is your money. They will act like they care about your case and be friendly but do the absolute minimal amount of work possible. They literally charge you for every text message and any type of correspondence. If I could give them negative stars I would. If you want good representation I highly recommend you stay away from these guys.
Over billed, did not complete tasks that were billed for. Complete bait and switch was not competent or willing to perform the initial task in which services were procured for.
