Mr. Lasko is a very knowledgeable and compassionate attorney. He walked us through everything with clear and concise information and was always available for questions. My father was a municipal employee with over 37 years of service. Dad enjoyed working and therefore did not want to retire and kept working. He passed unexpectedly. In that he had not retired, he passed without applying for his pension. Nor was there a will. My father, a Veteran, also worked for the State of Connecticut and had taken early retirement from that job. When my father passed, Attorney Lasko advised and worked with me on the probate of my father’s estate. Through some sort of administrative oversight, both the State and Municipality denied my mother any survivorship rights in either of my father’s pensions. As to both pensions, somehow, at the time of my father’s demise, the state and municipality had my father listed as a single person, [which was not the case] and used that as a basis to deny benefits to my mother. As to my father’s state pension, through an unwavering fight of administrative appeals at the State level and court action, Attorney Lasko was able render from the State my mother’s full survivor benefits in my Father’s state Pension.
