I had an excellent experience working with Sean McConnell on my medical negligence case. From the onset he was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely sensitive to what I was going through. Sean took the time to clearly explain every step of the process, which made a very complex and stressful situation so much easier to understand.
What stood out most was the attention to detail and commitment to my case, from not only him, but his entire staff. They were thorough in gathering evidence, working with experts, and building a strong argument on my behalf. I felt like my case truly mattered to them—not just as a client, but as a person.
Communication was consistent and clear throughout. Despite the difficulties caused by my medical incident, Sean was patient and kind, explaining things in ways that ensured my complete understanding. Any time I had questions or concerns, I received prompt and informative responses. Sean made sure my family and I were well informed and supported throughout the lengthy process. Often accommodating difficult schedules and time zones, and after hours questions, to allow me to fully participate in the process. Sean’s confidence and expertise gave me peace of mind during a very difficult time.
Thanks to his hard work and dedication, my case was handled with the utmost professionalism and sensitivity. I would highly recommend Sean and his team to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate medical malpractice attorney.

Attorney JT Borah is honestly a genuine human and good guy. He was real with me and very helpful and empowered me to also advocate for myself. Highly recommend.
I cannot say enough about the outstanding legal representation I received from JT Borah and Letti Powell. From the very beginning of my medical malpractice case, they approached every detail with care, precision, and unwavering dedication. This was one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but JT and Letti not only gave me hope—they delivered results.
Their combined legal expertise, especially in the complex area of medical negligence, was evident from our very first meeting. JT’s presence and strategic thinking were truly remarkable, while Letti’s thorough research and compassionate communication made me feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout the entire process. They listened to my story, understood the emotional and physical toll this took on my family, and fought tirelessly for justice on my behalf.
Thanks to their hard work, we achieved a successful outcome that brought a sense of closure and accountability. I am beyond grateful for their professionalism, empathy, and determination. If you are looking for a legal team that will treat your case like it matters and go above and beyond to fight for what’s right, JT Borah and Letti Powell are the ones you want in your corner.
Highly recommended—five stars is not enough.
Owner response
Thank you for your kind words about JT Borah and Letti. It was their honor to help you through the legal case.
I contacted Winckler, Harvey & McConnell, LLP about serious issues at a nursing home, including assault and privacy violations along with several other issues. Due to my disabilities, I requested communication via email or text, but they never responded. Their poor customer service for disabled clients is unacceptable. I don’t recommend them.
Update: Mr. McConnell reached out directly and let me know that there was a lapse in process that caused me to go overlooked. I appreciate his professionalism and ownership of the issue and am working with him very closely. Will update throughout the process.
Final Update:
They do medical malpractice just not unless you have a permanent injury. Will minimize your claims unless you were injured. This shows blatant disrespect and disregard for people of all walks and circumstances. Most laughable human beings you could ask for when it comes to saying they handle medical malpractice. NO, you handle injury. I have police reports on the nurse. I have credible witnesses. I have text messages. And I have several different cases to bring against these perpetrators. This firm is just incompetent and cannot handle them. I highly recommend you look for people that are willing to fight for everyone and not just what makes the most money.
Owner response
We are looking into what happened. In the meantime, please contact attorney JT Borah at jtborah@wincklerharvey.com. He is a leading authority in nursing home negligence cases.
Sean McConnell was very professional and always kept in touch with me concerning the progress of my case. He was knowledgeable and empathetic, and I trusted him throughout the entire process. He prepared me well and set my expectations appropriately. I would highly recommend this law firm and especially Sean McConnell!
Owner response
It was our pleasure to represent you. And thank you for the kind words about Sean and the firm.
In 2023, I got hit by a malfunctioning automatic door, resulting in a broken left hip. I was referred to Winkler, Harvey and McConell, and I have nothing but praise for Sean McConell. and his Paralegal Claire Sherrill. He has fought fiercely and tirelessly for two years, to make sure I got a settlement that was in line with my injury. He drove from Austin up to Plano Tx, to talk to me first hand, and to make sure he had all that was necessary. Great company, and I would never hesitate to use Sean again if ever needed, and Claire is a total angel, and made sure I knew what was happening. Love you guys you are the best of the best.
Owner response

Owner response
Thank you for the kind words. Medical negligence cases are among the hardest to bring -- they take time and effort to develop. Thank you for understanding the process.
Absolutely with No Conscious, they accepted my case wasted over a yr and a half to recuse themselves with a Dear John letter . Not even a phone call . Wasted my statue of limitations !
Follow-up 3-23-2025 , let me first respond so the audience knows , My wife passed away with gross negligence overlooking 3 ½ clogged arteries over a 7 yr period , doctor stating menopause, stress, anxiety , mental which are all documented ? none the less turned away when she went 11 days prior to her passing and turned away for 10 mins late and NEVER re- scheduled meanwhile it is documented in the intake for chest pain ? Fairly Straight forward for any seasoned lawyer who had a almost 2 yrs to find a medical professional and file “something” and I mean “something “ ? . The rebuttal here is first failing to review their public response as there is a difference between “no” and “now” basic grammatical errors in their public response !! they also have my phone number, why should I call when they barely responded in the first place in almost 2 yrs holding the case. Let the truth be told so the rating is accurate less than 1 star
Owner response
We are sorry to hear about your disappointment in the firm. Medical negligence cases take extensive time to investigate and are heavily dependent on the opinions of expert physicians. Many times, no matter how strongly our firm feels about a case, these experts see things differently. We would welcome a phone call to further discuss your experience.
Jay Winkler and his team were very knowledgeable and helped me through the whole journey after losing my wife to get me and my children the best outcome possible.
