Note: This review pertains to our experience as homebuyers whose closing took place at Ziccardi & Rella’s office. We are not clients of this firm personally; rather their attorneys represented our lender in our home purchase. We did not have a say in the location of our closing. Aside from our experience that is reviewed below, we cannot speak to the quality of this firm’s legal services or their professionalism in any other matter or situation. *** My partner and I had a deeply disappointing experience at the offices of Ziccardi & Rella, where our closing took place on March 12, 2025. Several times during our meeting — while our own real estate attorney was reviewing complex financial and legal documents with us — employees from this firm wandered in and out of the conference room to use the copy machine next to the table where we were seated. In addition to the noise created by the copy machine, Ziccardi & Rella staff repeatedly initiated loud personal conversations with each other, with the sellers’ attorney, and with the other professionals who were there because we had retained them to represent us in this transaction. Ziccardi & Rella staff joked and shouted to each other from across the room, completely ignored us, and generally behaved as if they were hanging out in the staff break room. The repeated interruptions during our closing by Ziccardi & Rella employees was not only unprofessional and disrespectful, but incredibly distracting from the important task at hand. We couldn’t hear everything our lawyer was saying to us, and we asked several times for them to lower their voices or take their conversations elsewhere as it didn’t seem to pertain to our closing. If the conversations were relevant to our closing, that was not communicated to us. In response to our requests, they brought it down to a whisper, but it was clear by their attitude and body language that they had little regard for us and our needs for quiet and privacy. A few minutes later, someone else would walk in and begin talking again, as if they were completely unaware - or just didn’t care - that there was a formal meeting under way. This is unacceptable. If you are expecting to be treated with professionalism, privacy, and respect during a real estate transaction, I would not recommend Ziccardi & Rella offices as an appropriate location for a closing or any other important meeting.
Owner response
We are very sorry that your closing experience did not go the way it should have and we apologize for any noise and distractions that occurred. Closings often have many people attending and can sometimes get loud especially when the parties present are familiar with each other. However, that does not excuse any interruptions that took place. Again, we apologize that the atmosphere in your closing did not provide you with the experience you deserve. We strive to be respectful and courteous to all clients visiting our office and it is disappointing to know that this was not your experience. If you have any questions or further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either one of the partners.
