My friend and I spoke with the lawyer, and it seemed to me that she didn't know anything about immigration. She told us both the same thing.
Owner response
You were both fleeing your country, albeit for different reasons. The only logical request is asylum, since you have no other ties to this country. You also both have children whose fathers are absent from their lives. Naturally, we would consider abandonment by the father to obtain residency for the children on that basis.

So yes, you are right. You both have the exact same type of case, albeit with different facts. That's how the legal process works. The facts are taken and categorized under specific legal defenses or affirmative requests. This is the same for millions of people in the United States.

People get upset when a lawyer takes advantage of them, but they also get upset when a lawyer tells them the truth. If a person doesn't hear what they want to hear, they will often complain. Best of luck with your cases. -Brenda
I had such a great experience working Brenda Garcia and her team. She was always professional, super knowledgeable, and really responsive whenever I had questions. Throughout my whole case she made everything feel way less stressful and always took the time to explain things clearly so I knew what was going on.
I recently got my I-485 & I-130 approved, and I’m honestly so grateful for her help through the whole process. I always felt supported and in good hands. I would 100% recommend her to anyone going through immigration or needing legal help.
Owner response

Owner response
Karla, it was a pleasure working with you too. I’m so happy that there was a happy ending, and thank you for always trusting me and never doubting the process. -Brenda
We are incredibly grateful to Brenda and her paralegal Giselle for their support and guidance throughout our family's immigration journey. From the very beginning of my husband's residency process to helping my mother successfully navigate her path to citizenship, Brenda and Giselle were truly there for us every step of the way.
What could have been an overwhelming and stressful experience was made so much easier thanks to both Brenda and Giselle's knowledge, patience, and attention to detail. They took the time to explain every stage of the process, made sure we understood our options, and prepared us thoroughly for any possible scenario. We always felt informed, supported, and confident moving forward.
Brenda and Giselle's professionalism and genuine care for our case stood out the entire time. It never felt transactional as they were both deeply invested in our success and overall well-being. Because of their dedication, both my husband and mother were able to reach important milestones in their immigration journeys with peace of mind. We cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone in need of an immigration lawyer. Their expertise and compassion truly make a difference and, when the odds feel stacked against you, it is both Brenda and Giselle you will want in your corner. I would go ahead and schedule the call if I were you!
Brenda and Giselle, thank you again for everything!
Owner response
Priscilla, I adore you and your family. I’m so happy for you and your husband as you begin this new adventure with security and peace of mind. Thank you for trusting in me and Giselle. We loved working with you both.

I hope you guys had a wonderful time on your trip, and here’s to many more adventures to come. -Brenda
“I do not recommend this service. My experience was characterized by a constant lack of communication; on numerous occasions, we had to contact them ourselves to obtain information about the status of my case, without receiving timely updates. Furthermore, the service was inadequate, with an unprofessional and, at times, arrogant attitude. I believe that respect, communication, and follow-up are fundamental in this type of service, and in my case, these were not the case.”
Owner response

Hello Alejandra Alvarado Moreno,

One of the great advantages of hiring a skilled attorney is that you get results, and your son's case was approved. You expressed concerns over the past two and a half years about the time your son's immigration case was taking, and I understand your frustration. However, it's important to note that his case began as a petition for a lawful permanent resident, which generally takes longer than cases filed by U.S. citizens.

Furthermore, you consistently compared our consular processing case for your son, who was abroad, to your own adjustment of status case. Adjustment of status cases are currently being processed in approximately three to five months. In contrast, consular processing cases typically take a minimum of two years, and in your situation, additional time was required because the petitioner was a lawful permanent resident and not a U.S. citizen when the case was initiated.

There were indeed challenges in our professional relationship. I strive to maintain a respectful and productive environment for both clients and my team, but I do not tolerate disrespectful behavior toward my team. Mutual respect is essential in any professional relationship.

Despite your confrontational attitude toward our staff, you were attended to and received updates from our firm as we received them from immigration. All communications are documented, and I personally provided you with the updates, as your interactions with our staff caused a significant level of stress.

And despite my desire to terminate the professional relationship, I did not do so out of a sense of responsibility to my client, your son. That said, congratulations to your son on obtaining his lawful permanent residence. I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

-Attorney Brenda
