Darras Law is a complete joke. I reached out about my ERISA disability claim against MetLife, explained how another firm got a weak $80,000 settlement offer, and said they wouldn’t fight because they didn’t think the case could win. Darras Law didn’t even bother to look at my situation. They just said the other firm is “good” and flat-out refused to help because someone else had already been involved. What kind of lazy, gutless attitude is that? They didn’t offer any advice or show any interest in fighting for me. Total waste of time, I find a firm that actually has the backbone to take on a case instead of making excuses.

My experience with Darras Law was exceptional during the 7 YEARS they represented me in seeking what I was owed with a disability insurance policy I had paid for. As a rookie police officer sitting in an orientation meeting room at HQ, a representative from a police based insurance company comes in selling two types of insurance policies, life and disability. The rep's selling point was they are for cops and they'll take care of cops, so I got both policies and paid every month for it for many years. Fast forward a rough and seasoned career and I'm facing a culmination of injuries that forced me into a medical retirement. My department and city quickly retired me with no problems from my workers comp review board. Initially, I had a nice rep with the insurance company who surprisingly warned me their insurance company was going to cut off my disability coverage to play a numbers game, hoping to save money, hoping I'll be demoralized and not fight for my rights. Sure enough, my policy was cancelled and my assigned rep was no longer working there. I got a letter from this insurance company claiming they believed I could return back to work, keep in mind this letter was sent about a year after I had already been officially retired by my department. My health was poor, it will never get better, and I have been told by workers comp doctors that my health will only worsen as I age, but now I have this paid insurance company playing a nightmarish game with me.
