I definitely would not recommend them. We did most of the leg work with having to get the medical records and had to call SSI to make sure the paperwork was turned in on time. They were horrible about turning things in on time. When it came time to speak to the judge about my husbands case, our attorney sat on the sidelines and said nothing to help our case, just looked like a duck out of water. Even though we had doctors' recommendations in writing that my husband should not work. He was facing amputation of his leg, and they still still did nothing. We could have just done this ourselves. He just waited for the decision and did absolutely nothing. Best advice, go somewhere else.
I am very happy with my relationship with Disability Action Advocates. Mauricio and Kathy, specifically, but also the intake receptionist (whose name escapes me at the moment, sorry!)—all of them have been helpful, understanding, and most important: professional. They get down to business and they don't necessarily sugarcoat things, but they also refrain from any sort of doom and gloom. The disability process in the United States is a long, tiring, and demoralizing journey, and the folks at DAA know that. But they keep level heads and keep on plugging, all with zero down. My case is a bit of a long shot, due to my young age and the ways my disabilities are usually treated, but we're just gonna keep on trucking and take it as far as we can. Thanks, DAA, for being a partner in this journey.

I cannot thank DAA enough. I started the application process alone and hired them for the appeal. It was two very stressful and long years and I was finally granted a fully favorable decision.
Mauricio and team did an amazing job keeping me informed, doing all the heavy lifting, preparing me for the hearing, and making me feel supported. My only regret is not hiring them from the very beginning.
Thank you guys so much.
I'am so happy and appreciative for everything that the staff at disability action advocates did for me, and everyone that I spoke with and worked with, were very professional and caring. They went above and beyond for me. Thank you to my attorney and his staff for everything.

We are sorry to hear that you feel our office was of no help. Upon looking in our database we cannot locate you as a client or past client of our law office. We pride ourselves on our client relationships and have worked tirelessly for over two decades providing excellent client care. Unfortunately, we do not offer all services that potential clients may be seeking. If you would like to discuss further or need a referral to an office who can help you please feel free to call our office and ask for me personally and I will be happy to assist you. I am sorry we do not provide the type of representation you need.
Sincerely,
Jessica Watson
Owner
Disability Action Advocates
I was getting nowhere with SSA till Kathy and Mauricio from DAA stepped in. Even when I wanted to give up, they encouraged me to continue. Because of that today I'm happy to say that we won! I would recommend them to any Veteran frustrated with their case. Thank you Disability Action Advocates.

Disability action advocates are hard-working, dedicated and caring. These guys worked tirelessly to get things right with my case. They stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process.
Disability is such a humiliating experience to go through. I know from my experience it was. I already had so many health issues to tackle while I waited patiently for a decision. I was in pain and struggling financially, not knowing if I was going to receive support or not. Mauricio always assured me he was monitoring my case closely as he continued to update my paperwork. Tony was always there to answer any questions I had. Sara was available whenever I needed to call and find out the status of my case.
I can’t say enough about these guys. They did a great job!
