I would highly recommend Joshua!!! We had to recently move my mother into an adult family care home and quickly realized the shock of the cost and everything that comes with it. We were referred to Joshua for elder care advice and decided within minutes that he was the best to assist us with the process. He is very down to earth and quick/easy to communicate with (he responded to emails while he was on a 2 week vacation) but also direct and to the point, which is what we needed during this process. The last 4 months have been quite a whirlwind of emotions, documents, trusting the process and it all happening so quickly but we were confident in Joshua.

The most misogynistic and ableist attorney i’ve ever met. This attorney refused to work with my family due to my siblings being disabled. When we met, Josh was wearing a sports jersey with a gold chain i kid you not. When I started to speak he held a finger up to ask me to stop speaking and said he would first meet with my dad then myself to talk about my late mothers trust, then after my father came out of his office he once again held his finger up when i began to talk and said he actually won’t be speaking to me at all until he reviews the trust. I am a 30 year old woman, i know misogyny when i see it. After my mother’s death I’ve dealt with plenty of attorneys for estate, trust, tax & conservatorship for my disabled siblings - so my point is i’ve met with at least a dozen lawyers in the past year. And probably 2 dozen more in the last 10 years caregiving for my siblings. Never have i ever dealt with any that arrived in a sport jersey and was so blatantly misogynistic. I felt like I was in an SNL skit, my god. Do not go to this joke of a human being.

After a death from dementia, Mr. Pops literally took over, handling the complete multi state estate, and simply telling me when, where and what to do. I had a health crisis at the same time and he managed the details to completion, did all the interactions, letters etc. and made the estate closure as stress free as he could. He has a solid knowledge of Washington elder law. He has since done trust work and separate POAs for my family just as efficiently quickly and competently. I cannot recommend his no nonsense easy to understand approach more highly.

Joshua Pops is an outstanding attorney! I live in CA and my mother is in a Dementia care facility in WA. Mom needed to apply for Medicaid to cover her expensive care and I had no idea how to do this for her. While calling around Joshua's name was mentioned several times as being an expert in elderly issues and Medicaid. My Mom's matter was relatively small, yet Joshua took it seriously and worked diligently to get the result my mom needed.
