I have to say that from the start, I felt like my nerves and fear were settled and I felt like I was being heard and understood. Things didn’t feel so dreadful. Family law issues are so personal and it’s like trusting a stranger to handle them was overwhelming. While Mr. Bains was able to successfully assist me with filing my response with the court, I feel his delivery of some of the advice he gave me was a bit on the condescending side. For example, I raised a question regarding the court fees associated with me filing my response. He responded in a way that came off as though he was trying to coach me on how to approach and interact with the court clerks; as if I previously gave off the impression that I may not know how to speak to people. I’ve worked in customer service since I was 16. I’m 31 now, and more than proficient at developing rapport with people and interacting with others in a professional setting. While I appreciate the warning, I feel it was off base, unnecessary, and in no way related to the original question that was asked of him. All in all, his assistance helped me beat the case that was wrongfully brought against me. He has my many thanks for that.
