Brilliant. I had a family law matter that evolved out of an issue with my mother's estate and I went to Ms. Lewter for counsel. From the start, her intake team was highly trained and understood exactly what I was looking for (a consult) and worked to get me on her calendar. Her team asked for documents for Ms. Lewter to review days before our scheduled meeting. When I arrived for the meeting, Ms. Lewter was ready with notes she would use to address my concerns and had even printed out some definitions of laws that she knew would help me. The conversation was a two-way conversation, with her careful to address my questions and concerns. I paid for an hour but she did not pull a "hard stop" on me, instead letting it run over a bit even after i pointed out we were running over. She wanted to be sure she had me where i needed to be to proceed and she got me there. I would not hesitate to use this firm in the future,

Very accommodating and kept me up to date without even having to ask

My friend began the process of filing the initial paperwork for divorce with the court but understood that if his wife hired an attorney, then he would need proper representation. After serving his wife, she found an attorney who seem to move quickly towards resolving the divorce. My friend needed assistance with legal representation and asked me to help him find an attorney to assist with the divorce. As I researched for divorce attorneys, I was fortunate to have been referred to Attorney Gillian Lewter. The person highly recommending Attorney Lewter explained that if he hired her, my friend would have the best representation. After sharing the recommendation with my friend, I was asked to contact her on his behalf. Based upon the initial consultation with Attorney Lewter, I am pleased to share that Attorney Lewter exceeding my expectations. Attorney Lewter is kind but stern and well versed in this area of law. My friend arranged to consult with Attorney Lewter which put him at ease knowing that he retained the best person to handle his divorce. Although Attorney Lewter explained various ways this case could proceed, her goal was to settle this matter quickly and in the most cost- effective manner. During negotiations, Attorney Lewter stood firm on behalf of my friend. For every erroneous accusation made by opposing counsel’s client, Attorney Lewter focused on issues that were relevant to the case. Would never recommend this lawyer. I really don’t understand how others do when all she does is overcharge her clients. She rarely returns calls and has unreasonable fees. For example, a simple two-second phone call reminding you of a court date—something you didn’t even request—costs $50. An email is $150, and sending an email on your behalf is $250. Her hourly rate is $600, and she charges $600 for travel and $60 to $100 for parking. To review her own file before going to court costs $400. The basic things for any lawyer to do is meet with their client before any hearing she does not even though she did not see or hear from the person for over 6 months. How can you speak for that person? And turn around and charge the person $4500 for that 30-minute court hearing? If that is not a scam, I really do not know what is. For her to show up for a hearing, it could cost you between $3,000 and $4,000. She seems indifferent to her clients, focusing only on dragging out cases. Whenever the opposing side makes requests, she does not advocate for her clients; she allows things to drag on unnecessarily. A friend of mine hired her, and she completely ruined them. They had to file for bankruptcy, and the other side won everything. She lied to them throughout the hearing and essentially sold them out to the opposing side. If you are currently represented by her, I urge you to leave; it will not get better, and you may face serious consequences. Her retainer fee is $5,000, which quickly disappears in charges. It's a shame to see how the divorce court allows people like her to exploit vulnerable individuals. She was even late for court once, and when the person called to check on her arrival, they were charged $160 for that brief phone call. A case that should have taken three months to a year took over four years. For a trial, she charges over $12000 for just that one day. Ultimately, the individual lost everything and is now homeless. I will go on every platform and expose this person. She should not be allowed to scam and mislead people like that.
