I am in the military and stationed out of state, so I paid $150 for a consultation with Lighthouse Legal to handle my divorce in Taylor County. I specifically needed to know about appearing remotely. The attorney, Kristin, told me there was no way to appear virtually for my case. This seemed wrong, so I called the Taylor County Clerk's office myself. They confirmed I absolutely could appear virtually and just needed to file the correct paperwork for it. When I called back, I spoke with a paralegal who admitted that Kristin "did not practice in Taylor County and did not know what she was talking about." But when I updated Kristin on the bad information she gave me, she contradicted her own paralegal and claimed she did have multiple clients in that county. Regardless of who was telling the truth, Kristin's advice was 100% wrong, and I was the one who had to do the research to find the right answer. When I asked if they could at least assist me with filing the simple paperwork—given the bad advice I paid for—they refused. They took my $150, gave me false information, and then refused to do anything to make it right. They stole my money by not doing the job they are paid to do. Do not trust this firm with your case.
I can't understand it. These reviews are the opposite of our experience. Time was of the essence and it took an entire week to get a return call on more than one occasion. Even then, we wouldn't get answers.

Divorce is the WORST. It was not something I wanted, but was something I needed. In these cases you next a compassionate and efficient legal team. My experience with Lighthouse was efficient in terms of time and productivity. I initiated divorce against my spouse and it was finalized within six months despite some challenges. I had a change of teams after mediation was complete (just personnel shifts) and my second team stepped in and seamlessly took things to the finish line. That’s a good sign! Overall, I appreciated the communication and efficiency, but personally, I appreciated the way my team handled delicate issues with sensitivity. They made the most difficult time in my life so much easier. And all of this was done virtually which was great. Once we got to mediation, it was done by Zoom anyway. I had the option to be with my team and opted against so I could be at home - it was seamless. I 100% recommend Lighthouse if you’re navigating the challenge of divorce.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Barrett & Kristy! They were both so amazingly helpful over an issue that occurred on a weekend. They were extremely comforting, kept me at ease in the situation and helped my fiancé and I out. They both even texted us to check in and make sure we were doing okay and were extremely reassuring. They are extremely knowledgeable in their field and they are the only attorneys that I trust. I’ve never had an attorney work so diligently and earnestly for me. These attorneys CARE! They truly care about you and helping you with whatever it is you’re going through. We are so so grateful for them.

Taylor, Kaye, and all others that helped resolve my case always responded to my emails and calls, even on weekends. I am active duty military, but that didn't change anything. They were able to make phone calls and hold virtual meeting(s) for the entire process. With their help, my case resulted in a dismissal. I am very greatful for everything they did. Thank you, all members of Lighthouse Legal.

Lighthouse represented me in an Estate probate case. They were extremely helpful and handled the case with efficiency and professionalism. They were great to work with and even gave a portion of my fees to New Hope Church (my chosen charity). I think they were top notch!
