Amir was very helpful to me. For years I had not exercised and was very stiff every part of my body. Amir came up with a plan for me while in treatment and for discharge. When I first started going to physical therapy, I was in so much pain. My pain is a 2. Before treatment, my pain was an 8–10 on a scale of 1-10. I would recommend anyone who needs to go get physical therapy to him. This is the first time I completely finished my physical therapy. I’m glad I received the help that I needed. Sunnyview is blessed to have him. He made a difference in my life. I know that he can make a difference in your life too. As long as you take his advice. 😊

Alicia, thanks for taking the opportunity to share your experience with us. Have a wonderful day.
I went to Sunnyview rehabilitation for recovery of a complete knee replacement. My physical therapist was Erica Gauthier And I couldn’t have been more happy with my outcome. I found her to be an experienced empathetic thoughtful knowledgeable therapist who Took me through a variety of exercises that got me to my goal without experiencing Excessive pain, but a soft approach that worked wonders for my knee and overall health. She explained every exercise clearly in a way that I could understand and how the muscles and tendons worked in the recovery process. She is an asset to Sunnyview Hospital and if I had to recover from another surgery she would be my first choice. Thank you, Erica for your great care every session in getting me to my recovery goal. Sincerely, Helen Van Wormer

Thanks for taking the opportunity to share your experience with us. Have a wonderful day.
One of the best places by far ...My sister had a stroke and was here ,she was very well taken care of here. Donna Greenfield (Peeler) passed away in July 2024
A little respect goes a long way. I have my dignity intact and feel like I'm being treated by family. There is no pressure if you don't feel up to doing what is requested. You are not rushed. Your comfort is a priority. Kudos from the custodial staff to the doctors. Thank you !
Sunnyview rehabilitation hospital has done such wonderful things they go above and beyond they help in so many ways my son had a great team with pt and ot and speech and his inpatient the nurse where great thank you all for everything sincerely jeremy &robin
My mother was here about a week after spinal surgery. The hospital ran like a well oiled machine. All staff members were attentive and kind. The therapy was exceptional. Most importantly, I felt safe leaving her here at night when family wasn't present. I trusted she would be well cared for. I deeply appreciate all that was done for her.
Excellent experience with Sunnyview Outpatient physical therapy. Therapist Ernesto was very knowledgeable and recommended many home exercises and exercises I could do at my gym. Always prompt, polite and explained what different exercises strengthen my legs. Office staff very friendly and made making appointments very easy.
Sunnyview is by far the best place to go for rehab. The services offered are state of the art and the staff are amazing. I highly recommend Sunnyview to anyone.
[UPDATE 2026]: Administration has ignored formal complaints regarding the retaliation detailed below. See attached evidence of the Joint Commission report they are ignoring. Taking other measures to warn and protect younger patients for intake here... especially if they have a disability.
My stay at Sunnyview after leg surgery was a very negative experience. This is a different kind of review, because I'm younger (30s) compared to the facility's average patient age, according to their information pamphlet (70s). I didn't see a single other patient even close to my age. I strongly caution younger patients to explore other facilities where they can expect more consistent supportive care.
The environment simply wasn't suited to someone like me. I was placed in a "semi-private" room, which just meant a curtain divider. My first roommate blasted the TV and snored loudly, making rest impossible. I was eventually moved, but the damage was done. Some staff interactions were another major issue. While many of the nurses were kind, their efforts were overshadowed by an incident.
During one physical therapy session, I became overwhelmed by a pushy and aggressive PT rep. I left mid-session, wheeled myself back to my room, and asked nurse Erika for support. Instead of listening, she immediately sided with the PT, then told them I was "complaining" which escalated the situation and created a hostile environment. Erika's behavior stood out as particularly dismissive and unprofessional. Had it been any of the other nurses I encountered during my stay, the situation would have been resolved far more calmly and respectfully.
In the end, while the recovery process itself presented its challenges, Erika's dismissive and unprofessional behavior proved to be the most detrimental. My redemption came when I called my family directly after the incident. Once they arrived, I hit the call button, prompting Erika to follow suit. Once my family was in there advocating for me, that was one of the absolute best and most rewarding experiences.
