The worst personal injury lawyers I have ever worked with. I have been in two bad accidents in my life. The first one was in April 2021, in which I was represented by a different firm, and the second one was in February 2024, in which I was represented by Sweet James. Tell me why, out of a $100k settlement, I received about $19k of it. My medical bills got outrageously high when there was supposed to be someone from SJ monitoring how much was racking up through all of my treatments. Out of all of my treatments, only one of the treatments actually really made any difference. They constantly were switching my case managers without telling me who the new one would be or how I could reach them. One thing that they all had in common was a lack of communication. Then when I said that I wanted to settle my case because I became pregnant and couldn't really do anything to help my body injuries, I was forwarded to one of their lawyers (who I don't even know the name of) who also never got back to me. They then had Eva Chiramonte, who isn't even a lawyer or case manager, handle all of my case work. She constantly promised me "Oh, your case will be handled long before you give birth. It's easy." -- "I'll call you back" (almost always forgot to) -- and then these statements turned into "Oh it's our adjustment departments fault, it's XYZ's fault that it's taking so long" -- and then when I finally ran out of basically all of the funds I had whilst being off from work, this turned into "Well we can get you a loan with very low interest." So I ended up getting a small loan from their close colleague, I don't remember his name/business name. It was needed so that I could pay my midwife, because - surprise!!! The funds weren't ready by the time my baby was born in July 2025 as I was *promised* by Eva. By the time Eva finally called my husband and I with a number, it was a HUGE slap in the face being $19k. I was severely injured in my first accident with way more doctors appts and that lawyer still managed to get me around $50k from my settlement. This accident required a lot less of treatments, though it did leave me with a bad TBI, and I get $19k??? Ridiculous. Then when I told Eva how I was very disappointed, she took it super personally! She said it was surprising how I was disappointed because they did soooo much work to get my bills down. Then she said how she got my loan interest down to $400 something as if it were a huge favor she did for me. That money could have gone to my baby. She said "well you guys were calling and calling like every week!!" -- Well, uh, duh? No one was communicating anything to me and I was about to have my baby! I needed to know what was happening! I should also mention that she let a lot of personal issues get in the way of her work. I understand that life happens, but why are you venting to your client about it? I would NEVER recommend working with Sweet James. This felt like theft out of my own settlement money that I suffered for physically and financially. I am late in writing this because I've been busy with the baby and finally feel more healed from my TBI. I feel like I was taken advantage of and I am beyond angry that they ended up with double or so of what I received. Make that make sense. Lastly, I received a text recently out of nowhere that funds were received in my trust. I was confused so I called two or three times about it and - surprise again! - no response. So who knows if there's random extra money sitting there or what. It has been no pleasure at all doing any business with you, SJ. I hope you treat other cases with more care and respect than mine.

Sweet dreams was recommended by my brother-in-law and my sister. I worked well with them. They got everything done. I was in a car accident where I got hit. They did everything to make sure my car was paid off and I got paid off and they got paid after that a couple days after I was in a collision with an Uber and they took care of that too. I have recommended James two friends before.

I am highly disappointed with the communication and management of my case provided by sweet James, I was recommended to come to them after I was involved in my first accident back in June when I was hit by a car in a crosswalk. Everything was good at first, I was given a case manager, sent to a chiropractor and sent to a specialist for further examination. It started to go downhill when I started losing communication in regards to my case when I am currently being passed around from person to person handling my case. The last update I’ve actually had was all the way back in September, when I was told that I am currently in what they call the lien process and haven’t heard anything since. I have been trying to inform them that I am now receiving calls, letters, emails etc from a debt collector about the accident and I try to ask about updates about my case just to constantly be told no one is available to answer my calls to inform me of what is going on and just to leave a message. I have left several messages in the past few weeks and never received a call back. I personally feel as though the case is being prolonged on purpose in order to take a larger amount in my settlement. As a follow up I would like to thank Casey sudduth and Emily card for helping push and expedite the case and communicate with me fully about what is going on they were the biggest helps in my case

Had my claim completed and paid out in about 1 year. Always able to reach them and get updates. Got the most they could from insurance and all the medical attention I needed. Also, have decent deals for referrals. They're fee was 35%-40% of total settlement then medical comes from your amount. Issued a Bank of America check to me so I could cash anywhere but my gf's was from a small bank in CA so it was harder to cash without a bank account. Overall it was a good experience.
