Specifically, when his statements are scrutinized or questioned, he becomes defensive rather than providing necessary clarification. This lack of transparency suggests he is acting in bad faith, a course of action that has already resulted in demonstrable costs to his client. It is fundamental that intentionally providing false information is a violation of the duty of candor required by professional ethics rules.
