I met Mr. Jacob at Fathers for Equal Rights about 2 years ago in search of an attorney to help me with my custody case. He was the third attorney that I had spoken to within the program and later became about the fourth or fifth attorney that I would end up hiring for my case. I had been trying for almost 10 years to get my children back from my ex-husband who had been keeping them from me off and on for the majority of those years. After telling Mr. Jacob my story and giving him a much clearer understanding of what I was up against, he was more than ready and excited to take on the challenges of my case. Mr. Jacob worked many hours, days, nights and sometimes weekends preparing for court, but what I appreciated the most about him was his honesty and integrity. Not only did Mr. Jacob help me win my case, but he also gave me words of encouragement throughout those months because the process was a bit difficult to handle at times and Mr. Jacob understood that. I am not a religious person, but I always felt that William Jacob was God sent because I was ready to give up. I have nothing but good things to comment about Mr. Jacob, both in the legal field and at a personal level; In 2018 I was facing several misdemeanors and even a felony charge for dumb mistakes I made. I hired Mr. Jacob with the hope to help sort my situation out and the results were beyond mine and my wives’ expectations. Mr. Jacob managed not only to dismiss all my cases but made them all eligible for expunction. I’m very grateful for all his help, Mr. Jacob truly gave me a second chance. William Jacob was not my first attorney during my divorce, and 16 years of child support, but he is my last. During this time my ex attempted to increase child support, and / or generally harass me at every opportunity. Mr Jacob was there every time, finally getting a judge to issue warning about frivolous lawsuits. He worked with me when funds were a problem, and came up with a payment plan. In my opinion, he is more than just an attorney. I feel that he helped me make sure that my kid grew up in a safe and healthy environment, and most of my family can't say that! Family/custody battles can be brutal...but knowing first hand experience how bad lawyers can be and how messed up our court system is...William is truly one of the few good ones. He was prompt to every meeting/hearing/appointment. He listened to every word I said. He cared. He was personable, light hearted and extremely generous...he should be charging more for as good as he is. He has very helpful personal insight to many of the "legal people" you will be at the mercy to in our system.
