Jasmine Spencer is by far the worst family lawyer I have ever dealt with. If you are fighting for custody of your child, please do yourself a favor and never hire her. I had a strong case and still felt completely unsupported throughout the entire process. She didn’t know important details about my case, failed to properly prepare for trial, and did not present key evidence. At mediation, she appeared on Zoom while driving, which felt incredibly unprofessional. On the day of trial, I was shocked by how unprepared she seemed, especially considering the amount of money I was billed afterward — over $10,000 for last-minute work and minimal effort. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. I found her disorganized, unprofessional, and careless with something as serious as a custody case. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Very unprofessional. Please do not waste your time with this law firm. I had Grace represent me in a high conflict custody case. I was not communicated in what was going on at all. During meditation, Grace expressed to me how over loaded with work she was and gave me details of other cases she had been fighting that week. She didn’t fight for my case at all. When I expressed my concerns Daniel reached out to me and was very unprofessional, the entire experience from start to finish was horrible.

I will never use this firm again. My wife and I had already agreed to a no-contest divorce with joint custody, but the attorney I hired contacted my wife directly and encouraged her to reject the agreement and pursue money through the court. When the attorney over my case changed, there was no communication and everything was stalled. Additionally, when I spoke to the owner, I was assured that it would be handled, but I was told it was hearsay. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I can’t recommend Gracie Smith enough. She was an absolute force throughout my divorce and didn’t let anything stall or drag out. When things started to slow down or the other side delayed, she took action and pushed everything through the court to keep my case moving forward. I highly recommend Ms. Black as an attorney. She represented me during a very difficult time, and I can honestly say she was outstanding every step of the way. She was professional, knowledgeable, and always took the time to explain things clearly so I understood my options. I never felt like just another case—she truly cared and worked hard to protect my interests. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, I wasn’t able to continue with her representation, but that had nothing to do with her quality of service. If anything, it made me appreciate even more how dedicated and effective she is.
