My experience has been very frustrating. I signed a Closing Statement outlining the amount I would receive from my settlement and was told the funds would be distributed within approximately 10 days. However, after signing the document, I was informed that I would receive a significantly smaller amount due to an alleged lien that, I was later told, had not yet been received or definitively quantified at the time the Closing Statement was presented to me. What has been most concerning to me is the lack of clarity and consistency in the information provided. While the settlement funds had already been received by the firm, I was asked to wait additional time without a full explanation or documentation justifying the changes made to the originally approved distribution. As a client, I expected transparency, clear communication, and that all issues related to liens or pending claims would be resolved before I was presented with final documents for signature. My personal experience has been disappointing and has resulted in a considerable loss of confidence in the handling of my case.
